ROCK CLIMBING

There are several areas within the Patapsco watershed with granite quarries and outcroppings where climbing takes place. There is a well known climbing area at Illchester Rocks just upstream from the Bloede Dam in the Avalon/Orange Grove section of the Patapsco Valley State Park.
